Know Thy Grower


To this day the death toll from cannabis is still at a whopping zero. Meanwhile, research teams all over the world are working to discover the benefits that regular ingestion or inhalation of cannabinoids may have. These benefits are proving to be vast, and with that, analysts are also finding that there is one simple reason cannabis hasn’t killed anyone: it’s non-toxic.

While the pure form of the cannabis flower poses very little to no threat, issues could arise because of variables outside of the plant’s control. One way that smoking weed becomes dangerous is if we’re smoking it unsafely. For example, rigging up a water pipe out of an aluminum can is a horrible idea because we could end up inhaling more than just cannabis smoke. Frankly, some only vape to avoid the bits of tar that are imminent from inhaling combusted herb.

Another way that cannabis can be dangerous is if it is grown using harmful chemicals like fungicides and pesticides. Since many of us don’t have the ability to grow our own cannabis flowers, the best way ensure our products are chemical-free is to purchase from reputable sources that sell lab tested products. Know thy grower, ‘tis the only way to know thy buds. If a company isn’t transparent about their nutrient and pesticide regimen, don’t support them with a purchase; it’s really that simple.

So there we have it, cannabis doesn’t kill simply because it’s doesn’t grow compounds that are toxic to the human body. It’s humans getting ahold of the plant that can make it dangerous. So support clean green certified growers and don’t smoke out of dangerous homemade pipes & bongs for the absolute safest tokes.
