Game nights are always a fun option on a rainy night or a weekend away at a cottage with great company.
Here’s the Roottie guide to an awesome game night with the addition of our favourite plant.
If snacks aren’t your priority, you’ve already failed.
Setting up the joint-Rolling/bowl-packing/dab hitting sesh station is relatively easy. You’ll need the following:
Papers and crowns
Dab rig and all necessary parts
Glass (pipes, bubblers, etc.)
Cotton swabs (for in-between sweeps of devices)
Clean water (for bongs, cleaning, and drinking, separately)
Keep Costs Down
To keep costs down, have friends BYO-Weed or do a pot-luck where everyone brings their favourite consumable and shares with the group. Limiting the night to one type of consumable is alright for small groups but variety is beautiful, and even edibles can be packed up and dispersed at the end of the night as goody bags.
If someone in the group is new to consuming cannabis altogether or just the consumption method on offer, be a good shepherd and guide them responsibly through. Homemade edibles, for example, may not be a good idea if the dosage is unknown. Instead, introduce them to retail-bought edibles made in smaller doses.
Chose Your Weapon
Traditional games like Dominoes, card games and Checkers are fun if you have seats and several sets to appease smaller groups of two to four players. Players can switch partners to make the gameplay even, but you might find the group losing interest if they aren’t fiendish for these simple more classic games.
Nostalgic games like Connect Four and Guess Who are hilarious and have the potential of getting more than just the two primary players involved. However, because they’re created for only two players, they tend to get old fast if you have a group of 3 or more.
Bigger games that can be played with a group of players such as Charades are fun, dramatic, and will keep all the players entertained. Of all the games that make a fun game night, this category is hands down your best bet.
PRO TIP: Some favs to check out for your next game night: Taboo, What Do You Meme, Cards Against Humanity and Cranium.
