CBD Misconceptions

CBD is an extremely popular cannabinoid. With pain-relieving properties, anti-anxiety elements, and mood elevating super powers, it’s no wonder this element of the cannabis plant is considered a powerhouse of healing potential. With all the buzz flying around about CBD, there has been some misinformation. So let’s look at the common misconceptions about CBD.

You don’t need much

In order to reap the benefits of CBD, you’re going to need more than just a pinch. In general, to receive therapeutic value from the substance you’re going to need more than you would of THC. For example, most studies that have used CBD for seizures, anxiety, or pain relief use hundreds of milligrams for treatment.

CBD only affects your body

Though often touted as “non-psychoactive”, CBD does have an effect on your state of mind. From relieving anxiety to uplifting your mood, you can expect some mental changes. It just won’t get you high like THC will.

Hemp oil, CBD oil, and high-CBD strains all produce the same effects

In actuality, there is quite the difference between all these different types. Hemp oil has a very low amount of CBD in it, about 3 percent. High-CBD strains contain other terpenes and THC that interacts with the CBD. And finally, CBD oil is the most potent and medicinally effect method of consumption.

There are many elements to CBD. Some misunderstood, some misreported on. So be careful with what you read and of course, do your research!
