Bring Your Cannabis Camping

One of the most beloved summer past times is camping, and now that the sunny season is in full fledge, it’s time to get out those tents out. Camping is all about enjoying the outdoors. For some, that means sitting at the site taking in the local flora & fauna, for others that means trekking out into the wild each day to find adventure. It doesn’t matter what type of camper you are, cannabis has a place for you.

Straight Buds

Passing a joint around the campfire or lighting up a bowl at the summit can add some extra good vibes to the experience. This is why bringing dried herb on a camping trip feels like a must. Smoking bud can be intrusive to our fellow campers, so for those that plan to indulge in the wafting thick smoke, you should make sure that there are not any young children camping next door. Similarly, it can be a faux paux to blaze on the trail, so consider other more discrete options such as a vape pen.

Taking a vape along for a camping trip can be a great way to get high discreetly all over the park. When it comes to hiking trails, it remains illegal to light up when in a state/provincial or national park. Vaping can help us enjoy that summit without bringing unwanted attention to us. There are dry herb vapes and wax vapes, but one of the most popular options is the handy-dandy vape pen. Although these are not a more sustainable option, they’re super convenient for traveling. Just make sure that you remember to bring the charger!

The most inconspicuous way to get high is to ingest edibles which don’t just come in the well-known form of brownies anymore. Eat some trail mix made with infused honey, or perhaps make some salad dressing with infused olive oil to sprinkle on or dip into. It’s possible to eat healthy food that will also get us high! The best idea is to plan and prep edibles before leaving, this way you avoid wasting or losing valuable infused butters, sugars, flours, & oils.

There are topicals with various ratios of CBD to THC, some have added herbs to help influence the wonderful cannabinoids. It’s all got a place in the world of camping. So, bring those topicals along on your next camping trip because they can be very useful to treat sore muscles after a day of activities and help alleviate the sting or itch of bug bites.

Basically, weed is the perfect camping partner. It can be packed in the first aid kit, the kitchen gear, or just in a nug jug to be shared around the campfire. No matter how it’s enjoyed, be sure to honor those around you and follow the laws in your area.
