Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men between the ages of 15 and 35. It also has the highest success rate when it comes to treatment with 95 percent of men who are diagnosed seeing full-recovery. There are a few different ways that testicular cancer can be treated, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. But cannabis may be another method of combating the disease.

The exact cause of testicular cancer in men is unknown, but risk factors include family history, abnormal testicular development, and HIV. It is important for men to be checked by a doctor, and examine themselves frequently.

If testicular cancer is detected and surgery is required, cannabis can help relieve the pain associated with the procedure. Also, if chemotherapy or radiation is required, cannabis can help treat the side effects of nausea and body pain, allowing the individual to function at a higher level than without.

But what about reducing tumors and preventing testicular cancer to begin with? There are numerous studies that have found cannabis to cause tumor regression, reduced blood flow to tumors, and apoptosis (cell death) of a variety of cancer cells. So, cannabis does its best to attack the growth of tumors in the human body.

Unfortunately, there are some reports of cannabis use increasing the HCG testicular cancer marker in men. This can cause blood tests to show the same warning signs as cancer.

Further research is needed on testicular cancer and cannabis specifically before a definitive answer as to whether cannabis can fight the disease. However, the current scientific evidence of cannabis fighting the cancer cells that cause tumors is very promising.
