Devolver Digital presents Weedcraft Inc. and yes folks this is real. Weedcraft Inc. is hitting the market for a real successful industry too. As the name suggests the game is a tycoon style game with the plot and story of being a cannabis entrepreneur.
With businesses like Molson Coors, Coca-Cola, and others eyeballing the cannabis sector you can expect investors and interest to be spiked in all directions when it comes to cannabis ventures. Ganjapreneurs can now take their shot at seeing how good they are at growing and selling pot crops.
Not only do you grow crops, but you also harvest and sell them as well. The new game will contain the elements of many other tycoon-style games. The plot is rather simple. You start out as two brothers with little more than a bucket to, well, grow weed in.
After watching your father turn to medical cannabis during cancer treatment you and your brother decide to go into business for yourself. Now all you have to do is learn how to grow pot.
You'll start with soil and seed packs, a small overhead heat lamp, and three pots in a basement. From there you'll learn to grow and sell your crops.
Hang in there because it gets better. As you learn the UI of the game you can adjust the speed to make time fly. You'll also be able to build more complex grow operations by upgrading equipment.
Before you know it, you'll understand what your plants NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) levels are. Trial and error or spending research points will help you learn to become a better cultivator.
Different cannabis strains will produce different NPK values gaining more or less profit when sold. If you enjoy the game and stick with it, you can become a canna tycoon with an automated facility.
