Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is no stranger to publicity and that is precisely what he's getting after his recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The podcast which is based out of California recently featured an interview with the Tesla CEO.
During his interview, the CEO partook in some whiskey and a blunt, but if you watch the video you will notice he didn't even inhale.
While recreational cannabis may be legal for adults over the age of 21 in the state of California where the interview took place he may still have been in violation of Tesla's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
According to their work ethic code of conduct, Tesla does not tolerate their employees being under the intoxication of illegal substances or alcohol.
While Elon may not have been at work directly, it is arguable that during this podcast he was representing the company as their CEO and therefore was in a work environment.
Elon's previous use of alcohol and recreational drugs as well as pharmaceuticals such as Ambien have been a call for concern of the board.
During the interview, Elon discussed his erratic Twitter behavior. Something many contribute to his Ambien consumption and recreational drug use.
During the three-hour podcast, they also discussed the flamethrowers offered by the Boring Co. and much more.
Since this podcast, Tesla stocks have dropped which is also causing a financial worry for the company. This is in addition to a PR worry that has been presented thanks to Elon's participation in the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Could the stock drop be a direct result of Elon's behavior or is it related to the recent executive changes that the company has undergone? It's hard to say.
What we do know is that Elon's blazing behavior and willingness to consume weed in front of the masses is just another solidifying fact that cannabis is mainstream and here to stay!Posted: Saturday, September 8th, 9:56pm 3 months ago
